Kaspian Shore is 26 years old and was born near the Dutch-German border. He has been working as a self-taught artist ever since he dropped out of school at age 16. Influenced by the elegancy of pre-Raphaelite painters as well as the contrasting simplicity of manga and icon painting, Kaspian’s developed his own delicate style of wistful, androgynous males in vivid wide open spaces. With the experience of ink and watercolour illustrations, Kaspian is currently transferring his characters into ethereal lake and forest spirits, attempting a soft, lifelike look in oil on wood panel.
